Life in America

Once in a while I remember the days when I was still in Manila, performing live on noontime shows at A.S.A.P. or S.O.P. , taping for soap opera’s or t.v. talk show guestings and just being in showbusiness. It’s nice to go back and remember those hectic days, whenever I see new artists on television over the Filipino channel.

Marami nang mga bagong artista ngayon! :) Sometimes I wonder what happened to my personal assistant (alalay) - Marlyn? I tell my friends that she was my best “alalay” or P.A. I remember she has that unique accent when she speaks especially if it was English. But most of all, she knows what she will do and prepare my whole outfit for my shows or tapings. She learned pretty fast and will never forget how she labeled all my shoe boxes so she will never mix it up with another color or style.

My Family

When I came here to California, I’ve brought with me all my concert outfits, nice clothes which I’ve never worn or just worn once and of course, my collection of shoes. Moving from one place to another and settled here at our home made me realize I’ve really had so many shoes and clothes that I don’t even need! :) So, one day, I just put them all in one box and decided to send it to Manila and give it to someone else who will need it better than I do.

Living here in the U.S. gave me the most important realization in life, which is simplicity. to be happy and feel blessed for whatever we have in life. Eating more than 3 times a day, affording to buy things we like, having a nice house as shelter, nice car, great job, wonderful family, and so on and so forth… I used to find happiness when I was back there in Manila. I didn’t know that happiness was already there, but it was over shadowed with fame and other materialistic elements. But I am happy here. I am at peace, away from temptations, away from complicated and unjust society.

Happy Easter, everyone!

My family and I went to church, and I had an open house (selling the home I listed) LOL and spent time with my family!

Hello dear friends, and to all my kababayans here abroad!

I am now based in San Francisco and having a great normal life! I am not really sure when I’ll perform again and make concerts, but that’s in my to do list! haha :)

My husband and our little boy

After I gave birth with my first baby boy, my world changed instantly and made me a whole new different person. Sometimes I ask, where’s the Tootsie Guevara I knew before? hahahaha

I guess, Tootsie has grown into a full blown woman.

Perhaps you can expect a lot of new and different things about me and my life now, my family and my whole new career. the only thing that didn’t change is my dedication and commitment of serving and helping my family and other people.
